Global Trade Compliance and Security Intern - Oshkosh Corporation

This role is within the Legal Department at Oshkosh Corporation. I am a split asset between two teams: the Global Export Compliance Shared Services Group (GECG) and the Oshkosh Defense Industrial Security Office (ODIS). GECG is responsible for training the company to avoid export violations, create licenses for legally exporting worldwide, and perform investigations. ODIS is responsible for industrial security, which is a security program focused on the protection of classified information developed by or entrusted to U.S. government contractors. My role assists primarily with the training aspects of Export Compliance and conducting the approval process for the company's foreign visits.

*Update: I just accepted a role with Oshkosh Defense on the ODIS team as an Industrial Security Specialist!*

Brand Ambassador- Milwaukee Bucks

As a former Milwaukee Bucks employee in Milwaukee and an avid sports fan, this role was fun. I worked on campus to promote the Bucks' Student Rush Program. Students would sign up on a webpage to be enrolled in the program with their campus email, and then would be eligible for discounted tickets on game day.

Resident Assistant -

Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY)

I traveled to Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and worked for CTY for 3 weeks during the summer. This was an amazing experience where I fostered a fun and safe environment for extremely smart students in a "summer camp" atmosphere.  â€‹

Office Assistant and Event Staff -

UW Oshkosh Athletic Department

My first job on campus was with the athletic department. My brother was a football coach at UWO for over 10 years, which led to a lot of familiarity within this role. When I had time in between classes, I worked in the office filling out spreadsheets, printing tickets, etc. On game days, I assisted in various roles to help the flow of the game from beginning to end.

Oshkosh Student Association (OSA)

I have been part of the Oshkosh Student Association for two of my three years at UWO. In my first stint, I served as an OSA Senator that helped in drafting and passing resolutions. In my current and second stint, I serve as the Communications Director. In this role, I am in charge of running the OSA social media pages on Facebook and Instagram. I craft content, run campaigns to increase our following, and track the analytics on how posts perform.
